“Una de mis canciones más conmovedoras hasta la fecha…”, dice Fat Cat, “la escribí con un compañero de la banda como tributo a una hermosa cantante con la que solíamos trabajar. La pista es una especie de memoria, un homenaje al amor perdido y las oportunidades perdidas”.
“I Wonder” es una colaboración de RnB suave y conmovedora con matices de gospel. Las voces fueron grabadas en Japón por la talentosa cantante estadounidense Costie Payne. La pista principal se grabó en Riga y presenta la aparición de miembros más jóvenes de la Escuela del Coro de la Catedral de Riga. Fat Cat invitó a otros músicos a bordo para ayudar a arreglar y pulir la pista, agregando nuevas secciones y una pista de batería.
Esta no es la primera vez que Fat Cat trabaja con Costie. Después de haber arreglado previamente una de las canciones pop edificantes de Payne para una sesión acústica de jazzanova, Fat Cat se sintió atraída nuevamente por los tonos dulces y el estilo indomable de Costie.

Ha vivido y trabajado en los bares de jazz llenos de humo de París, los sudorosos clubes de rock de Hamburgo, los antros de blues clandestinos en Varsovia y ha sido parte del nuevo estilo en Camden, Londres.
“One of my most poignant songs to date…” says Fat Cat, “I wrote this with a fellow band member as a tribute to a beautiful singer we used to work with. The track is a memorial of sorts, a homage to love lost and opportunities missed.”
“I Wonder” is a smooth, soulful, RnB collaboration with gospel undertones. Vocals were recorded in Japan by the very talented American singer, Costie Payne. The main track was recorded in Riga and features an appearance from younger members of the Riga Cathedral Choir School. Fat Cat invited other musicians on board to help arrange and polish the track, adding new sections and a drum track.
This is not the first time that Fat Cat has worked with Costie. Having previously arranged one of Payne’s uplifting pop songs for an acoustic jazzanova session, Fat Cat was drawn back to Costie’s dulcet tones and indomitable style.
